Yoga Classes Each class begins with guided relaxation to release stress and bring your awareness to your body, your breathing and the present moment. This enables you to practise Yoga consciously, greatly enhancing benefits of the practices. Warm-up exercises and yoga postures (asana) improve core stability, strength, flexibility, balance and concentration. Breathing techniques (pranayama) help you to focus on (in!) your body, calm the nervous system, expand vital energy (prana), unblock and balance energy channels (nadis) and release deeply-held physical and mental tension. Guided visualisations/meditations help you to gently focus attention in the present moment, harmonising the different aspects of yourself for inner peace and well-being. The whole practice is gentle, unhurried and mindful. Yoga TherapyYoga Therapy responds sensitively and holistically to each client's individual health issues -creating a sustainable personal yoga practice to improve health and well-being. This begins with a one-to-one consultation with a yoga therapist, which may include assessment of posture, physical mobility, breathing, emotional well-being and lifestyle. Client and therapist then work together to create a yoga routine that fits the client's needs, lifestyle and abilities. Council Council is, in essence, a listening practice. We sit together and bear witness to whatever each person's heart needs to express. Council isn't therapy but this heart-centred way of connecting to oneself, to others, to nature and the world can feel very healing. In Council, everyone has an equal right and opportunity to be heard. Together we hold the space for Council by following six guidelines
