Gilly is a yoga teacher, therapist and wilderness rites of passage guide based in the North Pennines. She has been running nature-based courses, workshops, ceremonies and retreats for groups and individuals for over 30 years. Her work draws upon the ancient wisdom traditions of Yoga, Buddhist Mindfulness, Vision Questing and the Way of Council. In combination, these beautiful practices support human health and well-being, whilst strengthening our connection with community and the natural world. This work, which is rooted in deep love and respect for the Earth, prioritises peace and well-being for all beings.
Weaving between Worlds is a collaboration with senior psychotherapist, shamanic teacher and elder, Simone Silver Path; anddancer, art therapist & celebrant, Nikki Wilkinsun. Together we hold space for women to come together in heart-centred community - to reawaken to the whole of who we are as women, through ceremony, the medicine of council and deep connection with Nature.
Wilderness Rites of Passageenable you to mark significant events and transitions in your live and gain inspiration, insight and clarity for yourself and your communities.
Forms include nature-based ceremonies, medicine walks, council of all beings and vision quests in wild places.
These forms open space for you to see your place in the more-than-human world, greatly expanding your sense of self.
Nature Therapy reconnects you with the 'peace of wild things'. Here, there is space from the distractions of everyday life to experience beauty and depth. As you become attuned to the ever-flowing cycles of nature, you see them reflected inside yourself, revealing a freer, more spacious inner landscape. Nature is your teacher and your therapist, guiding you into conscious connection with the whole of who you are.
